Update: Battle of The Bitches 1

I've decided to postpone the results of the BOTB to let YOU decide the winner. I've spoken with some of you via e-mail and outside of the blog about this. If you want your opinion to be heard, make sure you comment on why your guy should win! I'll update the "straw poll" as the votes come in. May the best (um...worst?) man win!

New Contest (as opposed to the OLD contest?)

Yay for competition! How much you ask? Wait, you haven't even heard what it is yet. Okay, okay. I'm offering you something better than money...bragging rights. I'm trying to find the most original and funny TWWS photo. The winner gets the picture made into a TWWS Shirt. Here are the guidelines:

1) You must be in the picture to prove that you actually took it (no Internet ripoffs, please).
2) Words and pictures alone are accepted. However, remember that if you take a picture of a copyrighted place (i.e. a McDonald's sign), I'll have to blur it out on the T-shirt. Plus, I always give bonus points to original photos with no words at all.
3) You can submit as many as you want! I'm not going to set a minimum amount of entries per se, but I'm going to give everyone a little bit of time to come up with some stuff before making a deadline of any type.
4) To ensure full credit, include your name/handle/alias and location (i.e. SpongeRob from Anytown, USA). The Flickr account is a great way to get the picture to me quickly, but e-mails are always welcome (TWWSBlogger@aol.com).

Let the games begin!

New T-Shirt! TWWS Amish you when you go

Parting is such sweet sorrow. Let your friends know how you feel with this new sentimental shirt that lets you share your emotions.

Updates: Coming Soon (TWHS)

On tonight's menu: 1) The exciting conclusion of round 1 of Battle of The Bitches 2) A new T-shirt 3) A free contest to see who can find the best TWWS picture.....

STAY TUNED

New Shirt! TWWS Bush

Check out the new shirt at the TWWS Store (link above). Wear this one in front of your smart-ass friend who thinks he's Abraham Lincoln because he got a C+ in Poly-Sci 101 at Southeastern School for the Ginger Crossdressing Thesbians Community College and Polytechnical Institute of Learning. (SSGCTCCPIC).

Battle of The Bitches 1: Glass Joe vs. Gabby Jay

Okay, so picture this: you're sitting around with your friends, and you're having that stupid debate over who would in a fight. You know, it's always Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Lee, a shark vs. a cougar, Barbara Bush vs. Laura Bush, Hitler vs. Stalin...those types. Of course, no one else ever wins. You either get pissed off and start bringing out the yo' mama arsenal, or you proceed to get too drunk to care. For all of us out there who can't decide who's more badass, why not argue over who's a bigger bitch? I mean, seriously, when it's Mud Bowl XXX, everyone wins (um...or loses?). As always, I will use my detailed and flawless logic to decide once and for all how IS the bigger bitch. In honor of Bastille Day (July 14, 1789, the start of the French Revolution), both of our contestants hail from Paris, France. Before anyone starts flaming me about bad Americans making fun of France, remember, this is a JAPANESE game. Shame on you! So, let's look at the profile of each contestant:Ready? Let's meet our contestants:
Glass Joe (Punch Out!!!)

Age: 59
Record: 1-99, 1 KO
Weight 110 pounds
Known for: MIDI-based taunting, alcoholic pink skin, chiseled cleft chin, single row of teeth

Post-boxing career: antiperspirant spokesmen

VS.

Gabby Jay (Super Punch Out!!!)

Age: 69
Record: 1-99, 1 KO
Weight 110 pounds
Known for: Droopy Dog impersonations, wicked comb over, training Glass Joe

Post-boxing career: actor

FINAL VERDICT:
Stay tuned til' tomorrow, kids. Feel free to comment on your predictions.

It's about damn time!

Okay, took you long enough, dude. Which E threw you off, Electronic, Entertainment, or Expo? No matter. I'll save le commentaire for the pros, but let's just say some kick-ass stuff is coming up (TWIS): Microsoft's XBOX 360 is trying to emulate the whole avatar experience that Nintendo's Wii has had on lockdown for the past 1.5 years+. Final Fantasy XIII is coming out on 360, too, which could be the greatest or worst news of your life, depending on your view. I say, more power to 'em. Console fanboys, this ones for you:
Seriously, "broooooddyy." Get over yourself. It's a video game for Hell's sake. You should be doing much more important things, like talking to that girl you totally puked on at the bar this past weekend because you tried to act cool but instead drank too much and embarrassed your friends and they had to call a taxi for you but you were too busy trying to propose to the female cop who hit you with her billyclub. Yeah, didn't think we'd remember that, didddddya? Uh, huh. So, anyway, Sony's Playstation 3 had some awesome stuff about Home and LittleBigPlanet, so many wishes were fulfilled.

TWWS Sitings, E3, and Fanboyism

Well, well. What do we have here? (TWSS). So, I ate at this awesome Mongolian grill place called BD's, or something like that. Anyway, it was awesome. Basically, you put together your own meat/veggies/sauces, and the dudes at the grill cook it for you. As a bonus, I saw this awesome slogan:

I can't make this stuff up, people. Seriously, that's what they said. For desert, I saw this sign on the way home:
If you can't make out the sign, it says, "SCHWETTY BLUE BALLS IN STOCK." This one was taken from my Blackberry in traffic. I hope these tidbits hold you over for tomorrow.
Anywho, for those of you who like video games, E3 was today. If you're still scratching your heads about this, go look at http://www.ign.com/ and basically click on anything. Don't worry, we'll wait up.

I'll Give It To You Straight - AT&T's Blackberry Curve (8310)

Well, as the TWHS title suggests, I plan on giving you the lowdown on stuff out there, telling you if you should extend an offer or put that wad back in your pocket (cash, duh!). Today, I thought it'd be easy to start one of my tools of the trade, the Blackberry Curve 8310. I noted the AT&T part because different carriers have different variations. Here's how this'll work. I'll give you the pros and the cons, and then the final verdict. Epinions.com this ain't, folks, so don't expect some lame-ass list of numbers and specs. Anyway.............

What Doesn't Suck

-The ability to take pictures and e-mail them to TWWS and Flickr
-Obtuse shape lets women know that your phone more than compensates for any...um....shortcomings (not for you, though, right?)
-Blackberry is the mullet of the 2000s: business in the front, party in the back
-The company that makes it, Research in Motion, abbreviates its name as RIM, so there's always a good conversation starter in your pants
-The built-in trackball gives you ninja-like training in finger dexterity for..um...beating your roommate's ass at Warhawk
-Full QWERTY keyboard lets you type douchebag-esque text messages such as the following:
Friend without QWERTY: cnt tlk much, txtn sux on my phone
You: That sucks, asshole. Hey, wanna know what I did this morning? Well, first I got up and took a shower and had breakfast...no wait...I think it was breakfast and then shower....I can't remember....anyway, that reminds me. Did you read my War and Peace essay for Mr. HoddyBoddyChingChangWallaBingBang's class? Here, tell me what you think about it, bro. Seriously, be gentle. Just type it back to me with the corrections..........

What Sucks:

-Businessmen types who have Blackberrys are WAY too sophisticated for the hottest games, so all ur favs like Hannah Montana and Scooby-Doo's Big Orgy Adventure aren't out for your phone yet. Don't worry, they eventually come. I mean, just last week I heard that they were coming out with this new game where you're a psychopath who drops blocks from a building, hoping that they will disappear into neat, same-colored formations.....assholes.
-No actual blackberries included. I mean, seriously, WTF, man?

Conclusion:

4/5

Flickr and Photos Galore!

Hey, guys. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I set up a Flickr Account to work alongside the site. It's pretty easy to remember: http://www.flickr.com/groups/thatswhatwhosaid/
There, you can send an add request to me (no biggie), and then you have full rein over adding pictures! Please, let me know when you submit one if you DO NOT want me to post the picture on this site.

I'll always give you credit for your submission, and I'll use your alias/handle/first name only (no detailed info for the stalkers). If you're not a member of Flickr, it's pretty easy. It's free and only requires an e-mail. I'm trying to collaborate with a fellow group, "That's What She Said." (thanks, guys) to get some submissions rolling. Keep it coming! (TWSS). Oh, and before I forget, you can access Flickr from your cell phone, so uploading phone pics (you know, that cucumber from the supermarket) is easy. I've updated the Cafepress store with mugs, bumper stickers, coasters, etc. Once again, I am receiving ZERO mark-up profit, so the prices are the lowest you'll pay on that site for stuff of similar nature. Plus, you get the awesome TWWS logo. Nice, huh? Well, it's Sunday, so time to do some "work" for a while. I'll catch up with you guys soon.
